Solitude and Silence
As summer gently fades out and we approach the Autumn its the perfect time for some peaceful reflection. The Equinox – where the day and night are of almost equal length – happens on Friday 23rd September. This is thought to be a time of balance, the crossing of seasons, and perfect for some solitude as we look back over the brightness of Summer in into the softness of Autumn.
Benefits of Silence
Floatation Therapy was recently featured in the New Scientist as part of a piece on ‘The power of quiet’.
Silence is very rare in the modern world, and we are often experiencing more noise than is healthy. Silence is a great way to get some of the benefits of a meditative like state if it supports you to feel more relaxed. The key is that the silence is intentional, some people relax better with music or guided meditation. Either way, finding some quieter space regularly is a great way to support your well-being.
